Two-tier cake covered entirely in large ruffled white buttercream roses.

The studio

One pastry chef, one kitchen in Málaga.

Inna Didenko designs, bakes and delivers every cake herself. No catalogue, no production line, one cake at a time.

Every cake starts with a conversation.

Inna Didenko designs and bakes each cake herself in a small studio in Málaga. There is no catalogue to choose from and no two cakes alike: we begin with your venue, your flowers and the flavours you love, and build the cake from there.

The work is mostly textured buttercream and hand-made sugar flowers, made to hold their shape in the Andalusian heat and to cut cleanly at the table.

What the work actually is

Sugar flowers are cut, wired and dried weeks ahead, one petal at a time. The cake itself is baked in the days before the wedding, filled, chilled, covered and finished by hand, so what arrives is fresh rather than frozen.

On the day we drive it to the venue, assemble the tiers on site, add fresh flowers if the design has them, and hand over to your planner or caterer with a note on where to keep it and when to cut it.

The studio answers in Spanish, English, Ukrainian and Russian. Write in whichever is easiest; the reply comes back in the same one.
